An adherent or descendant of Sargon, an ancient Mesopotamian ruler (c. 3800–3500 BC) who founded the Akkadian Empire and is considered to be one of the earliest kings to rule over a large multi-ethnic territory. The term can also describe those who are culturally or politically influenced by Sargon or Sargon's era.
