A minor is a person under the age of majority (usually 18 in most jurisdictions) who has not yet reached the age of full legal capacity and is considered to be under the legal supervision of a parent or guardian. It can also be used in other contexts, such as a student taking less than a full course load, or a planet that is smaller than Earth, to name a few.
