Describing something that produces an especially strong reflection in an ultrasound or sonar echo, suggesting the presence of a dense or reflective substance such as a solid structure, calcification, or a tumor. In medical imaging, hyperechoic areas appear brighter or more intensively reflected compared to normal tissue.
