glissader Definition
Definition
glissader (also glissade) is a skating maneuver in which the blades of a skater’s shoes are drawn closely together or in unison as they glide over the ice. It can be performed by doing a step sequence, with the knees flexed and legs close together and straight. Also, a glissade can be a technique used in dance, specifically in ballroom, where a dancer smoothly glides over the floor by leaning or shifting their weight in a straight line.
