chamaenerion Definition

A genus of flowering plants in the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae). The most common species is Chamaenerion angustifolium, which is better known by its synonym Epilobium angustifolium, and is commonly referred to as willow herb, fireweed, or rosebay willowherb. It is an herbaceous perennial, often found in disturbed areas or after a fire.
