anallactic Definition

Pertaining to, or relating to, the lack of an allantois, a membrane in the fetus of many animals that provides passageways for fluids and gases and helps form the urinary bladder after birth. In some animals, the allantois does not develop or is extremely small, leading to the term ‘anallactic’ to describe such a condition.
