Tardigrada Definition
Definition
Tardigrada is a subphylum of animals found in a wide range of soil, freshwater, and marine environments. These small, water-dwelling, near-microscopic animals are also known as water bears or moss piglets. They are more commonly known for their unique ability to survive in extreme conditions, including freeze-drying and desiccation, as well as exposure to radiation and space vacuum, making them some of the most resilient creatures on Earth.
