ROVs Definition

Remotely Operated Vehicles are underwater robots that are controlled by a human operator who is usually located on a surface ship, but can also be on the sea floor or in a control room. ROVs are used to investigate the ocean floor, conduct underwater operations, or for deep-sea exploration and maintenance of underwater structures.
