Pentecost Definition

The Christian feast, marking the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus as described in the New Testament, usually celebrated 50 days after Easter, and sometimes called Whit Sunday in the Anglican, Lutheran, and some Reformed churches.
