An extinct genus of large herbivorous mammals that lived during the Eocene epoch, it is known as the largest land mammal of the Cenozoic era, which prompted it to be called the 'heavyweight' of the ancient world. Indricotherium belongs to the family Indricotheriidae, which includes other rhino-like creatures that are now extinct.
