The philosophical doctrine of Heraclitus, an ancient Greek philosopher, primarily emphasizing that everything is in a state of constant flux or change, and that the universe is in a state of perpetual becoming. It is also sometimes used to describe a theory of unremittingly changing reality and the unity of opposites.
