Echeloning Definition

A military strategy or a process in which aircraft or ships are arranged in a series of staggered rows to provide continuous coverage or to distribute themselves over a wider area efficiently. It can also refer to the piping system where sections of piping with gradually changing diameters are used to achieve pressure gradients.
