Dahomeyan Definition

A language spoken by the Fon people of Benin, also known as Fon. It is an Atlantic language belonging to the Kwa branch of the Niger-Congo family. Dahomeyan was the official language of the Kingdom of Dahomey and has significant cultural and historical importance in West Africa.
