Cypria Definition

The Cypria is a fragmentary ancient Greek epic poem that was likely composed by Stasinus or Cinesius in the 7th or 6th century BCE. It forms the first part of the Epic Cycle and is believed to be the earliest known surviving epic in the Greek language, although only very small fragments survive from the original text. The poem narrates the events leading up to the Trojan War.
