The Beqaa Valley is a fertile river valley in the Asia Minor region of the Middle East, running between the Lebanon Mountains and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. It's an important agricultural area, and historically has been a significant pass between the coastal areas of the Mediterranean and the Syrian Desert, used for strategic purposes throughout history.
