Aurigo Definition

A large chair or ceremonial carriage drawn by horses and used in many festivals and processions, especially those held during the Caribbean Carnival season. It is often elaborately decorated and designed to portray a specific theme or character. In literature and history, aurigo is also sometimes used metaphorically to refer to a magnificent or ceremonial conveyance.
