Refers to opposition or a movement against a synod, which is a gathering of religious leaders from the same denomination or denomination, for purposes of mutual consultation, discussion, and mutual acknowledgment, usually involves a meeting about church governance, doctrine, missions, or other matters connected with the religious community.
